ABOUT ME

My massage therapy career began when, like many parents, I wanted a way to find balance in my life. I left a long standing career in retail to begin my journey into the healing arts.

My massage therapy training came in 2016. I spent a year honing my skills as a registered massage therapist when I discovered RAPID NeuroFascial Reset. I became a RAPID NFR Specialist in December of 2018. My practice has transitioned into a focus on hard to treat and painful conditions with great success in using all of the skills I have acquired over the years.

DEEP TISSE MASSAGE

Deep tissue massage is a manual therapy technique used to treat musculoskeletal issues with sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues.

RELAXATION MASSAGE

Relaxation massage is a smooth, gentle, flowing style that promotes relaxation, relieves muscular tension, and improves circulation and movement range at a massage depth that does not cause discomfort.

LYMPHATIC MASSAGE

Lymphatic massage is a form of gentle massage that focuses on the lymphatic system. It works with light pressure and tapping to encourage natural drainage of the lymph which helps eliminate waste and toxins from the body and maintains proper blood circulation, bodily fluid balance and immune functions.
Can be a partially or fully clothed treatment.

FAQ

HOW DOES RAPID NFR WORK?

RAPID NFR therapists provide sensory input to connective tissues with manual therapy techniques and guided movement patterns, with a treatment goal of resolving pain, improving range of motion, reducing inflammation and increasing proprioception. Often the “chronic artifacts of inflammation” are leftovers from the body’s post-injury healing, and can be highly sensitizing to the nervous system, resulting in pain and dysfunction.
By applying RAPID NFR, we both down-regulate an overstimulated nervous system, which reduces tissue tension and increases blood flow to flush out the old leftovers of inflammation, reducing nervous system sensitivity and therefore reducing pain.
Simply put, RAPID NFR enables the therapist to affect the central nervous system through highly sensitive nerve fibres to “Reset” muscle tone, tension and pain and restore quality of life through pain management and improved movement.

WHAT CONDITIONS CAN RAPID NFR TREAT?

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset has the potential to successfully treat many complex painful musculoskeletal complaints such as: headaches /migraines, whiplash, TMJ dysfunction, shoulder pain, frozen shoulder, tennis/ golfers elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, back pain, sciatica, knee pain, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, bursitis, bunions and arthritic joints, edema
.... and so much more!

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN A

RAPID NFR APPOINTMENT?

RAPID NFR sessions are 15 to 45 minutes. Clients are fully clothed and participate throughout the entire treatment. During movements, there can be some discomfort but pain is often significantly reduced or eliminated after the treatment and range of motion improved or restored. RAPID NFR is a stand alone treatment. There is no oil, lotion or devices used in this type of technique.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A  RAPID NFR SPECIALIST?

As a RAPID NFR Specialist, I have completed all the classes within the continuing education course and been trained to treat many conditions that most massage therapists do not or cannot.
I work with people of all ages, abilities and pain tolerances as RAPID NFR is less contraindicated than regular massage and can treat most musculoskeletal injuries at any stage (acute to chronic) excluding bone breaks.
I treat core dysfuctions including the pelvic floor, diaphragm and eyes as well as scars and burns.
